How to Calculate GST in India
GST is calculated by applying the applicable rate to the taxable value. Adding GST: GST Amount = Base Price x GST Rate / 100. Removing GST: Base Price = Total x 100 / (100 + GST Rate).
For intra-state transactions GST splits equally into CGST and SGST. For inter-state transactions IGST applies at the full rate.
